National project SUPPORT FOR THE DEVELOPMENT AND AVAILABILITY OF CARE-TAKER SERVICE - basic information

National project Support for the development and availability of care-taker service is implemented within the Operational Programme Human Resources in the programming period 2014-2020.It builds on two national projects Support of Care-Taker Service, which were implemented under the Operational Program Employment and Social Inclusion and the Operational Program Human Resources. National project brings the following innovations:

to expand the provision of care-taker services through the purposeful involvement of small municipalities;
to raise the awareness about the provision of care-taker service through acquisition activities, awareness-raising activities and dissemination activities;
to support informal partnerships and networking in the provision of care-taker service;
to increase the professionalism of provided care-taker service by taking care of the professional growth of nurses involved in this national project (training, supervision) and municipalities (information seminars);
to elaborate an analysis of possibilities of the municipalities to provide or ensure a care-taker service.

Beneficiary: Implementation Agency of the Ministry of Labour, Social Affairs and Family of the Slovak Republic

Allocation: 4 928 395,09 €

Territorial validity: all the self-governing regions of the Slovak Republic

Target group:

children and adult physical persons that are recipients of social services
employees performing policies and measures in the field of the social inclusion in public and non-public sector
public providers of social services:
a municipality with a population of up to and including 1000;
Legal entities established or administered by the municipality with a population of up to and including 1000;
joint municipal office established by municipalities with a population of up to and including 1000.

Project activities:

Main project activity: Support for the development and availability of care-taker service

Main activity is focused on supporting the increase of the level of provision of care-taker service within the Slovak Republic.

Subactivity 1: Creation of an expert group;

Subactivity 2: Dissemination and networking within municipalities;

Subactivity 3: Selection of the care-taker service providers and care-taker service implementation;

Subactivity 4: Training and supervision of care-takers;

Main objective of the project:

to increase the availability of care-taker service for citizens with severe disabilities, unfavorable health conditions and seniors, through the support of care-taker service in small municipalities with a population of up to and including 1000, which do not provide care service;
to raise awareness about the obligation of municipalities to provide or to ensure care-taker service,
to increase professionalism of the performance of provided care-taker service by supporting the vocational training and supervision of supported care-takers;
to create analysis of possibility and ability of the municipalities to provide or ensure care-taker service.
